green polyester houndstooth

man, i miss my fashion blog!  i am so excited about this post!  butterick, see and sew,  pattern number b5774 is the pattern i used to make this summer dress.  I found this vintage polyester green houndstooth at a thrift store for about $2.  i love the elastic sleeves and neckline.  i need to customize the elastic waistband, in the meantime i used a cute little tie! 

i also decided to use the wrong side of the fabric as the contrast for the hem, sleeve hemming and neckline.  i added the pocket on the front, too!  can't wait to use this pattern for the next dress!

some of the girls in my family got together to go see the movie "jane eyre".  i really enjoyed it!  then we met some of the boys in our family for dinner.  love, love, love, spending time with my family!
